Kill Alex Cross by James Patterson

kuillcross.jpgPresident's son and daughter are abducted, and Detective Alex Cross is one of the first on the scene. But someone very high-up is using the FBI, Secret Service, and CIA to keep him off the case and in the dark. A deadly contagion in the water supply cripples half of the capital, and Alex discovers that someone may be about to unleash the most devastating attack the United States has ever experienced. As his window for solving both crimes narrows, Alex makes a desperate decision that goes against everything he believes--one that may alter the fate of the entire country. Kill Alex Cross is faster, more exciting, and more tightly wound than any Alex Cross thriller James Patterson has ever written!

Winter Newsletter & Program Guide

Newsletter.jpg
This past fall was one of the busiest in the library's history. Not only did we see an increase in circulation, but also in computer usage and program attendance. More of our friends and neighbors were coming in the door than ever before. In part this was due to the weather, and the damage it did to our local infrastructure. We had several first-time patrons, as well as some returning patrons, who were surprised and relieved about the services we provided during the power outage.

Amazon_Kindle_library.jpgCompatibility of Amazon Kindle with the OverDrive eBook collection is here. Most of the eBooks in our existing MHLS Digital Download collection at mhls.lib.overdrive.com will be able to be read on all Kindle devices at launch. Overdrive is updating the My Help wizard, Help pages, and FAQs with new information about Kindle compatibility.
